Before founding Real Efficacy, Gary Hommel was a senior partner at a global law firm where he held a wide range of leadership positions.

He led the turnaround of a material part of the business (being directly responsible for 40 partners and their teams in different jurisdictions), building the strategy, driving smart business development and improving cultural, financial and people performance; this resulted in consistent year-on-year profit growth. He has a track record in team building, implementation and achieving tangible traction.

He was also instrumental in building and growing the firm’s real estate finance business from a near standing start to become one of the leading real estate finance practices in the market. He achieved personal recognition in the market and the directories as a leading real estate finance advisor. He has wide experience in advising sponsors and lenders on investments and developments across multiple jurisdictions. He is credited by clients as having “excellent market knowledge”.

Gary is an accredited executive coach and, in his coaching, draws on his experience as a team-focused leader, practice builder and trusted advisor to leading players in the market.
